TRUDY’S STORY
Trudy Andrew lives on a small farm just east of Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she enjoys her Morgan horses. A dreamer since she was a child, its no surprise to those who know her well that her imagination would find an outlet in writing, as it has in the past through artwork. With the Aynslie Adventure Series, she is able to join the two together, along with an extensive experience with horses since she was just a child, from raising and training to showing and competing in many different disciplines.
Much of her life experiences find a place in her stories. Every interesting person and experience, whether bad or good, has an impact and translate into very real characters, places and events.
Trudy has delivered horses from coast to coast in the United States, and had many adventures as well as meeting people who were full of character and have had influences that carry through into her writing, as does her years of driving semi, something she has done as a profession since she was 18 and just out of high school.
Trudy has traveled with her daughter to Ireland, Scotland and Holland for research purposes. Like the main character of the Aynslie Adventure Series, they back-packed, used public transportation and basically traveled by the seat of their pants as the whim and fancy took them. With no reservations or commitments other than meeting the plane to take them on to the next country, or eventually, home, they experienced the freedom of no set plans.
With the support of friends and family, Maneline Books was created and to date there are 6 novels in the Aynslie Adventure Series that are already written and awaiting the perfect time to hit the shelves. They will be released as interest and sales dictate, so it shouldnt take long. Irish Rain and Faeriedust dreams have been very well recieved, Mist of Eire isnt far behind. Trudy is planning on sharing the joy and excitement seeing ones work published can bring by opening the illustrations up to artists from across Manitoba and northern Ontario. Enjoy and share the adventure!
